In
the early cold of a January morning, there I was waiting at the Great Wall
of China Adoption agency. The
ladies who work there will never know how I got there-- and I’m not Chinese--
but there I was anyway. Hey, thanks for
the blanket and the snacks!
Usually
they don’t handle pet adoptions, but the very first day I arrived, someone was
interested in taking me home. You may think I’m a stray cat, but that doesn’t
mean I’m a casual pick-up. Whoops, sorry about those slashes on your wrists there,
Ginger. Guess I wasn’t used to being handled.

Now that we live together, I can’t really
remember why all the fuss.
